English Language Program

(for non-native speakers of English)


Texila American University offers English for Academic Purpose (EAP) program to the Students who are seeking to upgrade their language skills & also creates an ideal Option for degree seeking students in USA. EAP courses are designed to prepare non-native English speakers for a degree at Broward College in a short span of time.

The program consists of fourteen courses in three skill-areas: 
  • Grammar & Writing
  • Listening & Speaking
  • Reading & Vocabulary

EAP program focuses on developing academic-level proficiency, prospective students should have at least some basic understanding of English prior to enrolling in courses.

Program Structure

  • Grammar - 24 Credits
  • Communication - 12 Credits
  • Reading - 12 Credits

Students would be taking LOEP (Level of English proficiency) Assessment to measure their level of understanding in the language to match their course completion to enroll for Associate Degree from Broward.
