Texila American University requires the following personnel for their Campus in Guyana.

Dean for College of Medicine

  • MBBS / MD with additional degrees and administrative experience in handling a Medical / Nursing / Para-medical / Allied Health School
  • HOD, Associate Professors, Professors may also apply

Deputy Vice-Chancellor for School of Medicine

  • Can be from NON Medical - preferably from Life Science background
  • Should have been Assistant Registrar / Registrar in Medical / Life Science College (UGC Recognized)


  • Good academic records with excellent administrative command
  • Highly experienced candidates may apply

Faculty in Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology & Pre-clinical Sciences

  • Should possess MBBS/ MD or Relevant degree with Major in the given subject
  • DNB doctors with experience in teaching the given subject to medical / nursing students may also apply
  • Should be teaching given subject to Medical students for a Minimum of 5 years

Faculty in Biochemistry & Microbiology

  • Should have Masters / PhD/ MBBS (with teaching experience) with min 2 years teaching in the relevant subject to medical/dental students

Faculty in Biology, Chemistry, Physics & Pre-medical Sciences

  • Should possess PhD or Relevant degree with Major in respective subject
  • Should be teaching the given subject to Pre– Medical students for a minimum of 5 years

Clinical Coordinator

  • To liaise with Clinical doctors for students on Clinical Rotations.
  • Should possess a relevant medical degree.

Human Resources Manager

  • To manage employees and overlook department operations along with overall related functions.
  • Should possess a Bachelor's Degree and have minimum of two (2) year's relevant experience.

Human Resources Coordinator

  • To support the Human Resources Manager in overall functions of the department.
  • Should have minimum of two (2) year's experience.

Administrative Manager

  • To support operations by supervising, planning, organizing and implementing administrative systems.
  • Should possess a Bachelor's Degree and have minimum of two (2) year's relevant experience.

Administrative Coordinator

  • To assist the functions of the Administrative Manager.
  • Should have minimum of two (2) year's experience

Laboratory Coordinator

  • To be able to create and amend lab manuals (with system detailed procedures for the experiments/other lab activities as required by the respective course curricula) for the labs assigned.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Laboratory Assistant

  • To assist in classroom lab sessions as assigned.
  • Should have experience in lab operations and safety.
  • Preferably exposed to areas of Biology, Chemistry & Physics labs.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.

I.T. Manager

  • To assist with the implementation of the technology systems and to train persons to be efficient in the specific company software.
  • To be able to perform networking and trouble-shooting duties.
  • Should have I.T. experience and having supported I.T. initiatives in their office.

Library Assistant

  • To assist in the general operations of the Library.
  • Prior experience would be an asset.
