Texila American University (TAU) has a streamlined process of conducting admissions. The institution encourages interested candidates to submit their application along with the required documents well before the due date. We strongly encourage all applicants to apply as early as possible due to our competitive rolling admission process.

        
Admission Requirements
 

Apply online and attach required documents to check your eligibility for the MD program

  1. Soft copies of O-Level and A-Level / Diploma, Bachelor certificates
  2. Soft copy of National ID proof with DOB
 

Applicants to the MD program are expected to have a minimum of 90 College level credits or equivalent education with the following required subjects

  1. Inorganic or General Chemistry (with labs)
  2. Organic Chemistry (with labs)
  3. General Biology (with labs)
  4. Physics (with labs)
  5. English
  6. Pre-Calculus/Calculus or Statistics

*Students who have successfully completed advanced science studies will be given preference: Anatomy & Physiology, Biochemistry and Genetics.

 

All applicants are required to take the TMAT (Texila Medical Admissions Test)

 

Interviews are done in the form of Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs). MMIs are a series of structured, focused short interviews, in which applicants encounter a series of interviewers or observers.

 

The Admissions Committee does a holistic review of all completed application (including transcripts, TMAT scores, Interview Results, letters of recommendation, etc.,), which would be evaluated for academic readiness. The selected applicants are provided with Letter of Acceptances.

Apply online and attach required documents to check your eligibility for the Pre-Med + MD program

  1. Soft copies of O-Level and A-Level / Diploma, Other equivalent or related Educational Transcripts / Certificates
  2. Soft copy of National ID proof with DOB
 

Applicants to the Pre-Medical program are expected to have completed CXC/CSEC/GCE 'O' or 'A' levels with following subjects

 1. A minimum of five (5) CXC/CSEC General Proficiency (Grades I & II; and III from 1998) /five (5) passes at GCE ‘O’ Level, including English Language, two science subjects including Biology, and Mathematics for the Pre-Medical Program.

        OR

2. Three (3) subjects at the GCE Advanced Level plus two (2) subjects at CXC/CSEC General Proficiency/GCE. Ordinary Level not obtained at Advanced Level. Two science subjects, English and Mathematics must be among the subjects obtained.

          OR

3. Two (2) subjects at the GCE Advanced Level plus three (3) subjects at CXC/CSEC General Proficiency/GCE Ordinary Level not obtained at Advanced Level. Two science subjects, English and Mathematics must be among the subjects obtained.

 

All applicants are required to take the TMAT (Texila Medical Admissions Test) and MMI Interviews after completion of the Pre-Medical program before entering the MD Program.

  2. Soft copy of National ID proof with DOB
 

Applicants to the other programs like Nursing and Pharmacy are expected to have completed CXC/CSEC/GCE 'O' or 'A' levels with following subjects

A minimum of five (5) CXC/CSEC General Proficiency (Grades I & II; and III from 1998) /five (5) passes at GCE ‘O’ Level, including English Language, the science subject(s) required for the pursuit of the major, where applicable, and Mathematics for designated programmes.

 

The Admissions Committee does a holistic review of all completed application (including transcripts, Interview Results, letters of recommendation, etc.,), which would be evaluated for academic readiness. The selected applicants are provided with Letter of Acceptances.
